Privacy policy
Last updated: 21 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data Premium Sailing Academy collects through premiumsailingacademy.com, why, who helps us process it, how long we keep it and what your rights are.
Who we are
Data controller: Premium Sailing Academy, operated by [COMPANY LEGAL NAME], [ADDRESS], registration number [REGISTRATION NUMBER].
Contact: info@premiumsailingacademy.com. Write to this address for any question about your data or to use your rights.
What we collect and why
Waitlist. When you join the waitlist we collect your first name and email address, and we send you a confirmation email first (double opt-in). We use them to tell you when the online courses open and to send occasional updates about Premium Sailing Academy. Legal basis: your consent, GDPR Article 6(1)(a). You can withdraw it at any time with the unsubscribe link in every email.
Enquiries. When you send an enquiry we collect your first and last name, email address, phone number, what you are interested in, your preferred week, the type of boat and any notes you add. We use them to answer you and to plan your training. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, GDPR Article 6(1)(b).
Course purchases. Online courses are sold through Whop. When you buy a course, Whop processes your purchase and payment details, and Premium Sailing Academy receives the details needed to give you access and support. Legal basis: performance of a contract, GDPR Article 6(1)(b). Where Whop acts as the merchant or seller, its own privacy policy also applies to the payment.
We do not make automated decisions about you, and we do not sell your data.
Who processes your data
We use a small number of service providers (processors) that handle data on our behalf:
- Vercel hosts this website.
- Kit (formerly ConvertKit) stores the waitlist and sends its emails.
- Web3Forms delivers enquiry form messages to our inbox.
- Whop sells the online courses and processes payments.
Some of these providers are based in, or use servers in, countries outside the European Economic Area, such as the United States. Where data is transferred outside the EEA, the transfer relies on appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
- Waitlist: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data.
- Enquiries: up to 24 months after our last contact, unless a booking means we must keep records longer for accounting.
- Purchases: for as long as you have access to the course, and as long as accounting law requires for the transaction records.
Your rights
You have the right to access the data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw your consent at any time. Email info@premiumsailingacademy.com and we will reply within one month.
You can also complain to a data protection supervisory authority: in Croatia, the Personal Data Protection Agency (AZOP, azop.hr), or the authority in the country where you live.
Cookies
This website does not currently use cookies or tracking. If that changes we will update this policy and ask for consent where required.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page if the way we handle personal data changes, and change the date at the top. Last updated: 21 October 2026.
